Neighborhoods, According to Katie

The places she knows, loves, and actually spends time in.

Born and raised in Houston, Katie knows the city through real life—school events, yoga classes, weekend errands, and countless Saturdays spent touring homes with clients. Below are the neighborhoods she works in most, shared through personal insight and the spots that don’t always show up on a listing sheet.

Katie and her family have called this neighborhood home for years—and it’s easy to see why. Towering oak canopies, generous lot sizes, and a location that puts you at the center of everything. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you pop out to run Saturday errands and somehow end up at a patio bar by noon.

Central, stunning, & Katie's home sweet home.

WEST UNIVERSITY

Katie grew up here, so this one’s personal. West U has the kind of neighborhood energy that’s genuinely hard to find. Tree-lined streets, gorgeous grand homes, kids playing outside, and neighbors over for dinner. It’s family-friendly in the best way, without being cookie-cutter.

A Leave it to Beaver-kind of beautiful.

Southampton doesn’t need to announce itself. Tucked along the Museum District, it’s the kind of neighborhood where morning walks through the sculpture garden are just a regular Tuesday.  There’s an old-Houston elegance that runs through the air here—and never goes out of style.

BELLAIRE & MEYERLAND

These neighborhoods have a certain nostalgia to them—mid-century homes with real character, streets made for walking, and kids playing outside. Excellent elementary schools, cool art, and the kind of neighbors you’d be lucky to have.

Tanglewood is for buyers who want serious square footage without sacrificing location. The lots are generous, the homes are stunning, and the tree-lined boulevard is one of the prettiest stretches in the city.

Finding the right neighborhood is just as important as finding the right house. Some of it is fate—and the rest is having someone who won’t stop until you find exactly what you’re looking for.
